In February 2000 Martin Escott joined up with Andrew Morgan, a good friend and ex-colleague from Allied Dunbar, to form the partnership Morgan Escott & Company. Andrew later retired from financial services in 2007 and Martin’s father, Roger Escott, joined him in the partnership. Due to illness Roger resigned the partnership in 2015 and Martin continued trading as a sole trader.
Currently Martin continues to trade as Morgan Escott & Company and has recently undertaken some exciting developments in order to expand the business.
He has sponsored several individuals, attending a Financial Adviser School, in order they gain qualifications to practise as financial advisers within the business. The first of these, Jon Bowden graduated from the school, achieved Competent Adviser Status and now works alongside Martin advising in all areas.
Martin’s wife, Ros, also attended the school and joined Morgan Escott & Company as Practice Manager. A further student has recently qualified through the school and is shortly joining the firm as a Trainee Financial Adviser. In addition Martin has recently employed Ben James as an Office Administrator in order to further support the business.
In February 2021, Morgan Escott & Company moved into a suite of offices in Monmouth.
In September 2021 Martin received authorisation from the Financial Conduct Authority to become directly authorised with the business becoming fully Independent Financial Advisers. Morgan Escott & Company continues to develop having further developments planned in 2021.
